Variable Structure Direct Torque Control of Embedded Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor and Observation of Stator Flux

This paper proposes a high-performance embedded permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPM) drive control system with speed sensorless variable structure direct torque control. This includes important improvements to the system using advanced torque and stator flux controllers and observers. An adaptive sliding mode observer improves the observation accuracy and robustness of stator flux and rotor identification speed. After detailed theoretical analysis, computer simulation and experiments, the feasibility of realizing a high-performance, continuous position sensorless, speed sensorless, current controllerless, direct torque controlled embedded permanent magnet synchronous motor drive system is verified. After compensating for the nonlinear effects of the voltage source inverter, the direct torque controlled embedded permanent magnet synchronous motor drive system shows good ultra-low speed and high torque performance. .
