DDoS attack is one of the most serious threats on IPv4 network. The security design of IPv6 network is very superior, but the transition from IPv4 to IPv6 network still needs some transition mechanisms. This paper introduces the security issues in the transition mechanism and focuses on the analysis of DDoS attacks under the Tunnel Broker mechanism. Keywords: DDoS IPv6 Tunnel Broker Abstract: Even now DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack is still the major threat in IPv4 network.. By taking into considerations of security issue, IPv6 network is believed to be moresecure than IPv4 network.. However, to make IPv6 network coexist with current IPv4 network, people purpose different kinds of IPv6-IPv4 transition mechanisms.In this paper, security analysis of IPv6-IPv4 transition mechanisms was performed, especially DDoS attacks on tunnel broker mechanisms.Key words: DDoS,IPv6,Tunnel Broker
