High-speed motors are now becoming one of the research hotspots in the field of motors. There are two main features: one is the high-speed rotation of the rotor; the other is the high frequency of the stator winding current and the magnetic flux in the iron core. This determines the key technologies unique to high-speed motors that are different from ordinary motors. This paper analyzes and studies the mechanical characteristics of a 100KW high-speed permanent magnet motor that has been developed. It mainly includes the following contents: First, a brief introduction is given to the stator and rotor structure, working principle and ANSYS software of the high-speed permanent magnet motor. The stator is mainly composed of a base, main magnetic poles, commutation poles and brush devices, and its function is to generate a magnetic field. The rotor is composed of an armature core and armature windings, a commutator, a shaft and a fan, and its function is to generate electromagnetic torque and induced electromotive force. The conversion of electromagnetic energy and mechanical energy in the motor is completed in the magnetic field. In this design, permanent magnets are used to establish a magnetic field to complete the energy conversion. Secondly, the rotor strength of the high-speed permanent magnet motor is analyzed. Based on the elastic mechanics theory and finite element contact theory, a high-speed permanent magnet rotor stress calculation model was established, the interference between the sleeve and the permanent magnet was determined, and the strength of the permanent magnet and the sleeve was analyzed. An interference fit is adopted between the permanent magnet and the sleeve, and the sleeve is used to apply static pre-pressure to the permanent magnet to offset the tensile stress generated by high-speed rotation, so that the permanent magnet can still withstand a certain compressive stress when rotating at high speed, thereby ensuring the safe operation of the permanent magnet rotor.
