In order to develop a low-cost OBD system with independent intellectual property rights, this paper selects the coolant temperature sensor as a typical sensor for fault diagnosis analysis of the high-pressure common rail diesel engine electronic control system. The fault diagnosis circuit is designed and the fault diagnosis strategy is studied. The fault diagnosis strategy is theoretically studied through the MATLAB SIMULINK simulation method. Finally, the fault diagnosis test is carried out on the engine test bench. The design can accurately and reliably diagnose the fault and give appropriate processing results, providing experience for the entire OBDII system design.
