Based on reducing the extra energy loss of lithium-ion batteries, this paper designs an ultra-low power lithium-ion battery protection circuit. This circuit can not only provide comprehensive and effective protection for lithium-ion batteries, but also achieve low power consumption. By utilizing the subthreshold conductivity characteristics of MOSFET, the current consumed by the circuit is less than 3μA; and the chip enters a dormant state when over-discharge is detected. At this time, the current consumed by the circuit is only about 0.2μA, which greatly reduces unnecessary energy loss. The circuit not only protects Li-ion battery effectively, but also achieves low power.Taking advantage of the MOSFET\'s sub-threshold characteristics, the current consumption of this circuit is lowerthan 3μА. Once the over-discharge is detected, the whole circuit is shut down with a standby current of 0.2μА,which greatly reduces unnecessary energy consumption.Key words: Sub-threshold, Low Power, Protection circuit, Li-ion Battery
