The distribution characteristics of the leakage magnetic field along the radial direction of the pipe and rod in magnetic flux leakage flaw detection are described, and the four factors that affect the accuracy of magnetic flux leakage detection of the flaw detection device are analyzed. The influence of the change of signal lift-off distance on the sensitivity of the sensor and the flaw detection device is verified. In view of the two serious shortcomings of most floating sensor fixing mechanisms in use, a self-positioning sensor fixing mechanism is proposed to eliminate the influence of the mechanical device on the sensor sensitivity. A set of methods for calibrating and verifying the detection device is proposed to ensure that the detection sensitivity of the flaw detection instrument is always constant and improve the accuracy and reliability of the detection results.
