The overall development trend of instrumentation products is that traditional instruments will continue to develop in the direction of \"six highs and one long\" of high performance, high precision, high sensitivity, high stability, high reliability, high environmental protection and long life; new instruments and components will develop in the direction of miniaturization, integration, electronics, digitization, multi-function, intelligence, networking and computerization; among them, miniaturization, intelligence and networking are dominant, core or key. In terms of industrial automation instruments, the key development of my country\'s instruments is basically based on the main control system device and intelligent instruments and special automation instruments based on fieldbus technology; the general functions of gate measurement and control instruments are to control the gate opening, load, and over-limit alarm and other basic functions. The processor core is generally 8/16-bit single-chip microcomputer. The 8/16-bit single-chip microcomputer has simple functions and cannot meet the requirements of network and image transmission of embedded devices, and the support for human interaction functions is relatively weak. This article is aimed at the problems of single function, poor network function, inconsistent interface standards and lack of monitoring function of existing gate measurement and control instruments, and develops and designs high-performance new intelligent instruments. Taking the design of an intelligent gate measurement and control instrument as the starting point of the research, based on the analysis of the instrument operation mode and instrument functions of the mainstream domestic instrument manufacturers, the software and hardware design is carried out reasonably, and innovative and exploratory research is carried out to realize the functions of multiple instruments on the same hardware platform. The design of an embedded gate intelligent measurement and control instrument based on ARM is proposed, and a hardware platform based on the ARM system and a software platform based on the embedded Linux operating system are constructed. The main functions of the brand-new intelligent gate measurement and control instrument designed and developed using embedded system technology include: automatic detection and real-time control of gate opening and load; real-time automatic monitoring of gate flow; gate operation status diagnosis and fault alarm; real-time working condition image processing; industrial Ethernet field bus interface and network transmission, etc.
