This paper studies the use of Modbus communication protocol by QUAD2000 controller and FOXBORO I/A system to realize DCS remote monitoring of multiple air compressors, which greatly saves resources and facilitates operation. Keywords: compressor; MODBUS protocol; DCS; QUAD2000 This paper studies the use of Modbus communication protocol and DCS to monitor the operation of multiple compressors, which saves a lot of cable and installation costs while reducing the labor intensity of operators and the damage to the on-site environment. FOXBORO\'s I/A SeriesDCS control system connects the node bus and ModiconModbus through MG30A/B components, and configures the data of the field controller into the I/A Series network. The application processor of I/A starts Modbus, accesses the controller, and transmits command information to the Modbus network. QUAD2000 is a control system based on microprocessor control and protection design specially designed for TA200 and TA300 air compressors by Cooper.
