The three major automobile companies in the United States, GM, Ford, and Chrysler, are well-known automobile companies in the world. They have a significant impact on the world\'s automobile industry. Their every move will have a considerable impact on the industry. This is an important reason why the QS9000 standard formulated by the three major automobile companies has been adopted by more and more manufacturers after it was launched in 1994. The QS9000 standard was first published in August 1998. It was produced after coordination and integration based on Chrysler\'s \"Supplier Quality Assurance Manual\", Ford\'s \"Q101\", General Motors\' \"Targets for Excellence\" and some requirements of truck manufacturers. The requirements of Part 4 of the ISO9001:1994 standard were fully adopted as the basis of QS9000. It includes some interpretations of the ISO9001 standard, but the most important difference is reflected in its supplementary requirements for the quality system. Compared with ISO9001, QS9000 has gone a step further in terms of the requirements for comprehensive quality management standards. Its requirements for continuous quality improvement, delivery and price, zero defects in distribution parameters, business plans, failure mode and effect analysis, and many other important aspects make it a more stringent standard. The differences between the two are summarized as follows:
