CAN-bus (Corltroller Area Network) is one of the most widely used fieldbuses in the world. It is a multi-master serial communication bus with high bit rate, high anti-electromagnetic interference and the ability to detect any errors in industrial control communication. As a flexible and reliable communication system, CAN bus has been widely used in various industrial control sites. The main goal of the design of CAN bus communication system based on FPGA+DSP is to complete the reliable and high-speed transmission of multiple nodes of CAN bus, and to realize the coordinated work of each unit in the entire communication system through data communication between nodes and data processing inside the node processing unit. The CAN bus communication system in this paper completes the real-time communication between the infrared target detection system and the control system and the image processing system. Its hardware part uses DSP+FPGA as the core communication processing unit. Through the programming of DSP hardware and the design of FPGA logic module, the reliable transmission of information between multiple nodes of CAN bus outside the processing unit and the serial communication based on SPI between DSP and FPGA inside the processing unit are realized, thereby completing the processing and application of CAN bus data in FPGA.
