Design of multi-task application for Cortex-M3 based on MDK RTX Fang Anping and Wu Yongyi, Wuhan University of Technology Abstract: This paper describes how to use MDK RL-RTX on Cortex-M3 and gives a simple multi-task application design. Keywords: MDK RTX, Cortex, Embedded, ARM, STM32F103VB1 MDK RL-RTX and Cortex-M3 Overview The MDK development kit is from Keil, Germany, and is the latest software development tool for various embedded processors launched by ARM. MDK RL-RTX is a real-time operating system (RTOS) kernel that is fully integrated in the MDK compiler. It is widely used in ARM7, ARM9 and Cortex-M3 devices. It can flexibly solve problems such as multi-task scheduling, maintenance and timing arrangement. The program based on RL-RTX is written in standard C language and compiled by Real-View compiler. The operating system\'s reliance on the C language makes it easier to declare functions, eliminating the need for complex stack and variable structure configurations, greatly simplifying complex software design and shortening project development cycles.
