Abstract: Carburizing is a very important process in the heat treatment industry. The execution of the carburizing process is directly related to the quality of the heat treatment products. Aiming at the drip pit carburizing furnace which is widely used in my country, based on the analysis of the carburizing process principle, a low-cost and high-precision carbon potential control system with ARM core microcontroller LPC2290 as the core is designed, and the hardware design of the system is introduced in detail; the software design adopts the real-time operating system PC/OS-I, and completes the transplantation of PC/OS-I on the processor LPC2290, which greatly improves the performance of the carbon potential control system. After quenching and low-temperature tempering, the surface of the steel part has high hardness, wear resistance and fatigue resistance, while the core still maintains sufficient strength and toughness. According to the different carburizing methods, it can be divided into solid carburizing, gas carburizing and liquid carburizing, among which gas carburizing is the most commonly used [7-9]. Drip-type atmosphere carburizing is to drip liquid carburizing agents such as kerosene and benzene directly into the carburizing furnace for gas carburizing. Gas carburizing is to pass the gas carburizing agent into a high-temperature sealed furnace tank for cracking and decomposition to produce active carbon atoms, and then through the absorption and diffusion process, the carbon is infiltrated into the steel part.
