In OFDM systems, the accuracy of timing synchronization estimation directly affects the overall performance of the system. Currently, there is no literature that conducts theoretical analysis on the fine timing algorithm of OFDM systems. Its performance is basically obtained through simulation, which is not convenient for theoretical analysis of OFDM system performance. This paper conducts a theoretical analysis on the performance of the fine timing synchronization algorithm based on the autocorrelation characteristics of the PN sequence under Rayleigh channel, and obtains the probability density function of the fine timing error, which is basically consistent with the probability density function obtained by simulation.
