According to the requirements of the building elevator video surveillance system, this paper proposes a network video surveillance system implementation scheme based on embedded technology. The system uses embedded Linux and embedded microprocessor S3C2410X as the core platform. Through the video server based on TCP/IP protocol established on the embedded platform, the image data collected by the USB camera is compressed and transmitted through the network to complete the network video surveillance task of the monitoring site. First, the development, current situation and overall construction of the embedded network video surveillance system are explained, and then the development of embedded Linux operating system and ARM processor are introduced. The design of the main peripheral circuits is analyzed, as well as how to compile and transplant the embedded Linux kernel on the ARM hardware platform, the startup principle and operation process of the Bootloader are introduced, and the development of the USB driver under the Linux operating system is studied. This paper focuses on the design principles and implementation of image acquisition, encoding and network communication programs. Finally, the overall system test is carried out, and further development ideas are proposed.
