By the end of 1999, there were more than 43 million mobile users in my country, and it is expected to increase by about 20 million per year. Faced with such a large market opportunity, domestic mobile phones with real chip-level and protocol-level intellectual property rights have not yet appeared. The total market share of all domestic mobile phones is less than 10%, and their mobile phones are generally positioned as medium and low-end products. In view of the huge market potential and the impending entry of China into WTD, the Chinese government has stepped up its support for the domestic mobile phone market. The relevant national departments, including the Ministry of Information Industry, have reached a consensus on the care for domestic mobile phones, and the general policy direction is to vigorously support and give a green light all the way. This paper aims to discuss the design of the GSM mobile phone, exchange and learn with domestic peers, and realize the industrialization of domestic mobile phones with independent intellectual property rights as soon as possible. 2 2.5G GSM mobile phone hardware structure This project integrates the design of the whole system, baseband chip design, and software development, and is a complex system engineering.
