Array Antenna Beamforming Based on Particle Swarm Optimization

Particle swarm algorithm is a new parallel optimization method developed on the basis of genetic algorithm, which can be used to solve a large number of nonlinear, non-differentiable and multi-peak complex problems. Unlike genetic algorithm, the particles in particle swarm algorithm have memory function, and the whole search process is to follow the current optimal particle. Therefore, in most cases, all particles may converge to the optimal solution faster. In addition, particle swarm algorithm has simple theory and few parameters, so it is more widely used. In this paper, particle swarm algorithm is used for beamforming of array antenna. The results show that particle swarm algorithm has a good development prospect in designing antenna shape.
