Aiming at the shortcomings of AVQ algorithm, this paper introduces the integral option to further improve the stability of the system on the basis of PD-AVQ algorithm, and derives the value range that meets the system stability conditions by using control theory. Using PID-AVQ algorithm to update virtual bandwidth, a new queue-based PID control adaptive virtual queue management algorithm QPID-AVQ is proposed by comprehensively considering the average queue length and packet arrival rate. The parameters can be adjusted according to the actual network conditions to keep the queue length stable. Simulation results show that when the control parameters are within the stable range, the QPID-AVQ algorithm can better adapt to changes in network status, so that the queue length is always maintained near the expected value, regardless of the number of users. It has good stability, anti-interference ability and high bandwidth utilization, and its comprehensive performance is better than PD-AVQ and RED algorithms.
