Abstract: Based on the theoretical analysis of the reflection spectrum characteristics of the fiber Bragg grating F2P cavity, a novel sensing system based on a weak reflectivity and long cavity fiber Bragg grating F2P cavity is proposed, and two effective demodulation methods suitable for this system are analyzed. The influence of system parameters on the performance of the sensor and the optimization design principles of the system are discussed. Theoretical research shows that this novel sensing system can achieve accurate temperature measurement with high reliability. Keywords: fiber Bragg grating; F2P cavity; reflection characteristics; sensing system
