19 Analysis and Application of Micro-Spectrometer Supervisor: Professor Yang Shengzhen Participating Students: Student No. B8802062 Name Dai Renhao ◆ Introduction of Spectrometer First, we need to have a preliminary understanding of the basic structure of the spectrometer. Figure 1 is the basic structure diagram. When we analyze the wavelength and power of an incident light source, we need to use a tunable optical band filter (Tunable Optical Band Filter) in the incident light source. PassFilter) selects and separates the incident light according to different wavelengths. After separation, it is a light source of a specific wavelength. At this time, a photodetector is needed to convert the light source into a current signal according to the power. Then we need to convert the current signal into a voltage mode through an impedance conversion amplifier (TransimpedanceAmplifier), and demodulate the size of the light power according to the scale after digital conversion, and display it on the vertical axis of the screen. At the same time, the sweep recorder (SweepGenerator) records the corresponding wavelength position when the filter moves, so that the entire waveform trajectory can be displayed on the screen in a two-dimensional rectangular coordinate system. Figure 1 Schematic diagram of the measurement system◆ Structure of the spectrometer Traditional spectrometers are composed of a standard parallel light source, a beam splitter, an incident angle driver, a light receiver, etc. The amount of light entering is small and the size is large. Each change in the incident angle can read a corresponding wavelength, which is time-consuming and cannot process wide-band color distribution signals in real time. The main structure of the micro-spectrometer used in this project is composed of a standard light source, optical fiber, coupler, micro-grating, and CCD photo sensor. After the light source is coupled into the optical fiber, it is guided into the micro-grating, and the micro-grating generates interference light to the linear multi-pixel CCD photo sensor, which can measure all wavelengths in the optical signal at the same time. It is small in size and easy to install and use. ◆ How the spectrometer works Figure 2 is a diagram of the spectrometer in action. In the diagram, we can see that the micro-spectrometer uses optical fibers to transmit the color light signal into the spectrometer, and then scatters it onto the arc...
