Surface roughening improves light extraction efficiency of green LEDs

The experiment used molten KOH to etch the green LED epitaxial wafer to obtain the expected rough morphology, and then made the device through conventional processes. The results showed the light intensity of devices made with different surfaces. The experiment proved that the external quantum efficiency of the device with surface roughening treatment increased by about 25.7%.
