A slight change in the driving current of a semiconductor laser will directly lead to fluctuations in its output light intensity. In order to achieve stable power output of the semiconductor laser, a constant current driving circuit including a soft start and current limiting protection circuit is designed based on the voltage negative feedback principle; at the same time, in order to eliminate the influence of background light and modulate the light source, an integrated laser modulation circuit including a crystal oscillator circuit and a frequency division circuit is designed. The specific circuit is made and related experiments are completed. The experimental results show that the circuit can provide a highly stable driving current with a current stability of 0.05%; the soft start and current limiting protection circuits can protect the semiconductor laser and improve its impact resistance. The modulation circuit generates the carrier signal required for semiconductor laser modulation and directly completes the output light modulation. The switch can easily realize the selection of 12 commonly used modulation frequencies in the range of 256 Hz to 512 kHz.
