This article first analyzes the function of the communication board CP1470 in SIMADYN D, and then introduces a design scheme of a communication board with MPC860 as the core, and explains in detail the functional analysis, hardware system design, communication process and other contents. SIMADYN D is a fully digital, multi-processor, multi-task automation control system of Siemens, which is widely used in control fields such as high-power AC-AC frequency conversion and DC transmission, high-voltage DC transmission, dynamic reactive power compensation and production process control. The SIMADYN D control system has the characteristics of freely configurable hardware and graphical software programming. It has various types of racks and can be configured with various standardized modules including power supply, processor, I/O, interface, memory and communication to meet the needs of various control systems. Among them, the communication module CSH11 communicates with other Ethernet devices through its onboard communication board CP1470. However, in new applications, the communication board CP1470 often cannot meet the needs. First, its data processing speed is slow. Second, because its network adopts the COTP protocol, it cannot be interconnected with many devices that adopt the TCP/IP protocol. In addition, some components are discontinued, making them difficult to purchase. Therefore, it is of great practical value to develop a new communication board to upgrade the original system.
