This paper introduces the design and implementation of an ARM9-based electrocardiograph thermal printing system. In terms of hardware, the system block diagram and the core circuits of the thermal print head and stepper motor are analyzed. In terms of software, the writing of the SPI interface driver and the waveform mapping algorithm based on the bitmap are introduced. The results show that the system is more flexible and has better waveform quality than the traditional electrocardiograph printing system.
