A new type of stepper motor driver with integrated CAN bus interface is proposed and implemented by using dsPIC30F6010A high-performance digital signal controller. According to the parameter characteristics of the peripheral modules of dsPIC30F6010A chip, the PWM drive circuit, motor phase current measurement circuit and CAN bus transceiver circuit are designed, and a modular application based on C language is developed. Actual tests show that the stepper motor driver with integrated CAN bus can be directly connected to the CAN bus network, realizing the remote control function of the motor operating parameters and operating status.
