Analysis of making metal domes with PADS Analysis of metal domes: Metal domes (also known as metal domes or metal domes, snapdome) are made of ultra-thin (0.05mm-0.1mm thickness) and ultra-thick (generally hardness between HV480-550) stainless steel materials. They are mainly used in membrane switches, micro switches, PCB boards, printed circuit boards, rigid boards and other products. They have several advantages such as stable contact, strong conductivity, stable rebound and good hand feel. The metal dome can play a good role in switch activation and control between the operator and the product due to its good conductivity. Secondly, the stable rebound force of the metal dome (automatically returns to its original position after being pressed) can bring a comfortable touch to the operator. At the same time, the ultra-long life of the metal dome, which is up to 1 million times of touch and pressure, provides the most practical quality support for the main product. According to the needs of different product structures and grades, the metal dome can be nickel-plated, silver-plated, gold-plated and other surface treatments. Conventional pot pieces are divided into round pot pieces (waist circle/oval), cross pot pieces, triangular pot pieces, and rectangular pot pieces according to their different shapes. The diameters range from 3mm to 20mm, and the strengths range from 100g to 600gf. Analysis of making pot pieces in PADS: Take the production of round pot pieces as an example 1. Place two solid round pads in the package editing mode as shown in the figure: [pic] 2. Draw a round copper sheet and align it with the origin pad coordinates (the copper sheet radius and the distance between the two pads can be set by yourself) [pic] 3. Select copper cut out and draw a cutting range within the previously drawn copper sheet [pic] Select the cutting area and the copper sheet frame, right-click and select select shape [pic] Right-click and select combine to cut the copper sheet into the desired shape [pic] [pic] 4. Associate the copper foil with 1PIN: Select the copper foil and right-click to select associate. Then select the 1PIN pad to combine the copper foil and 1PIN into a body [pic][pic] If you need to disassociate the combination of the copper foil and the pad, just select the combination and right-click to select unassociateall [pic] After the package is completed: [pic]……
