Aiming at the problem of slow synchronization capture of long PN codes in direct spread systems, the parallel matched filtering capture method of PN code synchronization capture in direct spread systems is improved by using the conclusion that the concatenated short PN codes have similar correlation with the long PN codes, and a simple and feasible serial-parallel combined capture method is obtained. Then, combined with the PN code correlation value within a cycle, a simple and practical adaptive threshold is selected in an iterative manner to achieve fast synchronization capture of PN codes in burst communications. The capture method using this adaptive threshold does not require noise estimation and has a small amount of calculation. Simulation experiments show that the proposed method has a high capture probability and strong noise resistance. Abstract: Aiming at slow speed of the long PN code acquisition in DSSS, the similarity between the short PN code in series and the long one can be used to improve parallel digital matched filter(DMF) for the acquisition of PN codes. An improved and simply practiced acquisition method which combine with serial and parallel processing is got. And then a simple and practical adaptive threshold is chosen by using the correlative value of PN code in a period and iterative mode. By using this adaptive method, it is not necessary to estimate the noise and the calculation load is small. Simulation demonstrates that PN codes of the proposed method can be detected at higher acquisition probability and has a better ant-inoise performance.
