In high-frequency PFC Boost converters, a method of using CoolMOS and silicon carbide (SiC) diodes together has become a research hotspot. Here, a 400kHz 500W PFC converter is taken as an example to study the method; in view of the drop in efficiency when the converter has low voltage input, an attempt is made to improve it with a soft switching circuit, but the experimental results show that the effect is not obvious; on this basis, a 400kHz 1KW PFC converter is completed using a hard switching method with three MOS in parallel, and the experimental results are given.
