As an emerging communication technology, magnetic induction communication can replace electromagnetic wave communication in many special environments, such as underground, underwater, near the coast and in caves. Channel capacity is an important technical indicator of the communication system. First, the transmission power ratio of the magnetic induction communication system was analyzed. By analyzing its path loss, the 3 dB bandwidth was estimated, and then its channel capacity was calculated. At the same time, some key factors that can affect the long-distance channel capacity were analyzed. The research results show that the larger the radius and Q value of the coil, the larger the long-distance channel capacity.
