Abstract: This paper introduces a fiber Bragg grating wavelength shift detection scheme using an asymmetric fiber cavity as an edge filter. Based on the thin film interference theory, the reflectivity response relationship of the asymmetric FP cavity is calculated and analyzed, and the structural parameters of the FP cavity are obtained, which improves the reflection characteristics of the ordinary FP cavity and has the advantages of wide linear range and good purity. By using a certain linear filter edge of the FP cavity, the wavelength information and power information of the sensing grating are detected, and the sensing wavelength demodulation of the optical fiber can be completed. The fiber Bragg grating strain sensing experiment was carried out using this detection scheme, and the wavelength purity demodulation within the range of 7NM was achieved, and the measurement wavelength resolution was 0.01NM.
