Although DSP technology has developed rapidly and high-speed DSP chips have appeared, the use of a single DSP chip still cannot meet the needs of the system. It is urgent to form an interconnected system of multiple DSPs to enhance the overall data processing capability. This article mainly studies the host interface (HPI) and multi-channel buffered serial port (McBSP) of TI\'s TMS320C6x series DSP and the link port (Link) of AD\'s ADSP2106x series DSP, and introduces various interconnection methods and advantages and disadvantages when using them to form a DSP parallel system. 1 Introduction to TMS320C6x The TMS320C6x mainly includes 1 central processing unit (CPU), 1 program memory and a data memory, DMA, 1 external memory interface (EMIF), 1 host interface (HPI), 2 multi-channel buffered serial ports (McBSP), and the CPU of TMS320C6x has 8 processing units, and each clock can process up to 8 instructions.
