Design and optimization of millimeter wave directional coupler

  According to Bethe\'s small hole coupling theory, combined with the coupling wave attenuation factor and the field average correction factor, a directional coupler was designed, and the electromagnetic simulation software CST was used for simulation and optimization. Under the condition of the usual equal hole spacing, the spacing of some holes was changed, so that the isolation performance was further improved. In the designed working frequency band of 30 GHz to 40 GHz, the deviation between the simulation value of coupling and the theoretical value was within 0.15 dB, and the isolation was less than -54 dB. Finally, the measured results were analyzed, and the actual errors that may be caused by the processing errors of various parameters were given.
