This paper introduces a communication encryption system based on the Rijndael algorithm, describes the composition of the system, and explains how to implement the encryption function and serial communication function based on the Rijndael algorithm, and proposes solutions to related technical difficulties. Finally, the implementation scheme of multimedia playback in the system is briefly mentioned. Keywords: Rijndael algorithm, serial communication, multimedia application In today\'s information society, information security plays a vital role in military, finance, and daily life. Therefore, it is very important to ensure that information in communication is not stolen or deciphered. Since 2001, NIST has officially announced FIPS197 to determine Rijndael as the US Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), which was officially implemented on May 26, 2002, marking that information technology has a new security tool, and its emergence will provide strong support for computer network data confidentiality. This paper will introduce a communication encryption system based on the Rijndael encryption algorithm developed in the VC++6.0 environment, which is used for high-intensity encryption of battlefield communications. It can perform AES encryption and decryption on information, communicate through the computer serial port, and play the received audio and video files.
