Abstract: Pulse compression technology has been widely used in modern radars. Radars using this technology use wide pulses to increase the average power of the transmission and ensure a sufficient maximum range. When receiving, corresponding pulse compression methods are used to obtain narrow pulses to improve the range resolution, thus better resolving the contradiction between range and resolution. Radars using pulse compression technology have strong anti-interference performance. This study compares the advantages and disadvantages of several types of pulse compression signals, and analyzes the implementation methods of pulse compression technology and its anti-interference performance.
