This section highlights the production configuration for the SC5400RA system.

The production Intel Server System SC5400RA includes:

16-DIMM board installed in the SC5400BRP chassis with 16 DIMM cage.
Redundant (1+0) 830W PFC power supply with dual line cord support (full redundancy requires additional
830W module purchased separately)
Two non-redundant fans and ducting
Support for six tool free non hot-swap hard drives. Upgradeable to 6 hot-swap SAS or SATA.
Two tower heat sinks (Note: Both must be installed during operation and are not interchangeable with the
Intel boxed processor heat sinks)

Expander-based 6-drive bay that supports SAS/SATA drives. Requires two
free SAS ports from a SAS RAID controller card.

AXX6DRV3G:
6-drive bay that supports SAS/SATA drives. Requires six free SAS or SATA ports.
SAS hard drive support requires SAS connectors from a SAS RAID controller card. Not supported
with the SRCSAS144E RAID card.

Adds hot-swap, redundant cooling to SC5400RA system. *Note: Only compatible with
Intel® Xeon® 5100 series and Intel® Xeon® 5300 processors with processor numbers: E5345, E5320,
E5310. Will require a BIOS/Firmware upgrade available in December 2006.

Either the tray or boxed processors with active or passive heat-sinks can be used since the SC5400RA Server
System is designed to work with only the heat-sinks included with the system. Order codes for both the active
