The LXM series capacitors are new high voltage, long life snap-in capacitors from United Chemi-Con
that are downsized replacements for the LXG snap-in capacitors rated above 100 volts. With the
improved characteristics of higher CV per case size and an extended rated lifetime of 7,000 hours
at 105 C with the rated ripple current applied, these LXM capacitors are recommended for new
designs in place of LXG capacitors greater than 100 volts. Available in a standard voltage range of 160
to 450 volts and a capacitance range of 47 to 2,200µF, the LXM series is suitable for high reliability,
high voltage applications. The LXM capacitors have a standard 2-pin snap-in terminal style.
SNAP MOUNT-105 C
The standard LXM series capacitors are non-solvent proof. Refer to the Mini-Glossary for cleaning
guidelines and recommended cleaning agents that are compatible with United Chemi-Con products.

The following specifications shall be satisfied when the capacitors are restored to 20 C after
subjecting them to DC voltage for 7,000 hours at 105 C with the rated ripple current applied.
The sum of the DC voltage and peak AC voltage must not exceed the full rated voltage of
the capacitors.

Shelf Life
The following specifications shall be satisfied when the capacitors are restored to 20 C after
exposing them for 1,000 hours at 105 C without voltage applied. The rated voltage shall be
applied to the capacitors for a minimum of 30 minutes, at least 24 hours and not more than
48 hours before the measurements.

Capacitance Value: Expressed in Microfarads. The first two digits are
significant figures, and the third digit indicates the number of zeros
for capacitance of 100 F or more. R indicates the decimal point for
capacitance less than 100 F (e.g. R33 = .33 F; 3R3 = 3.3 F;
33R = 33 F; 331 = 330 F; 332 = 3,300 F; 333 = 33,000 F ).
Lead Configuration: VS = 2- Pin Snap-in Terminals.
