Field Installable Optical Connectors
The field installable optical connectors are designed to be easily installed in the
Outline
field.
The mechanical splice technology allows you to attach connectors with pre-
polished endfaces to optical cables quickly and easily.
Field installable connectors are available in various types: SC and MT-RJ
connectors.

Assembling Process

Fiber
Prepare the fibers and place the
connetor into the assembly tool.
Wedge

Open the mechanical splice
Open the mechanical splice with the
wedge and insert the fiber.

Remove the wedge and the connector
from the assembly tool.
Assemble the rubber boot.
