Overview
The KEMET T428 was developed to provide the volumetric
efficiency of a conformally coated capacitor in a pick-
and-place friendly molded package. The planerity of the
molded package eliminates the "drops" associated with the
conformally coated tantalum surface mount devices. This
new package design offers the highest CV/cc of any molded
leadframe product. In addition, the facedown construction
offers higher power ratings per cc. The robust design
features and testing protocol make this part suitable for
application in the telecommunications, industrial, defense,
and aerospace markets.
