The control of industrial machine tools plays an important role in the automation control of industrial production. In the machine tool industry, multi-step machine tools
have complex control due to their many steps and actions. When traditional relay control is used, many relays are required and the wiring is complicated, so there are many faults, maintenance is difficult, and
it is labor-consuming and time-consuming. Using PLC control can greatly simplify the wiring. It is not only very convenient to install, but also ensures reliability, reduces the amount of maintenance, and
improves work efficiency. (1) Control requirements analysis The electrical control main circuit
    of the spindle foot processing machine tool is shown in Figure 26-1.     When this machine tool is used for processing, the workpiece is clamped by the chuck on the spindle and driven by the spindle motor Ml for rotational movement. The large carriage drives the rotary worktable to perform transverse feed movement. The feed speed is driven by the work-forward motor (slow motor) M2 and the fast-forward motor (fast motor) M3 through the electromagnetic air threshold (Ur2) to leave the table. lever control. The longitudinal movement of the small carriage is controlled by the air pressure of the solenoid valve (DTl) .     For the 7 tools, except for the 2nd tool (which completes the 2nd working step, that is, turning the plane), which is cut longitudinally by the small carriage, the 6 knives that complete the remaining 6 working steps are all driven by the large carriage to rotate the station. The table (hexagonal) moves transversely for cutting. Each time a working step is completed, the rotary station table rotates one station to carry out the cutting of the next working step. For the sake of simplicity, this example only describes the tool feed motion.
