Did you know that STMicroelectronics has launched its next-generation payment system chip? STMicroelectronics (ST) has released its next-generation STPay system-on-chip (SoC) payment solution, which uses the most advanced technology to improve contactless payment performance and protection functions and reduce power consumption requirements. , significantly improving user experience.
The new STPay-Topaz family of solutions can be embedded directly into smart cards, pre-installed with payment applications running on the certified JavaCard platform and comply with all required security and payment system certification requirements. STPay-Topaz is the first payment system chip using 40nm flash manufacturing technology. It is based on the ST31P450 secure microcontroller with data protection functions, including the latest Arm® SecurCore® SC000™ 32-bit RISC core and encryption algorithm accelerator, capable of defending against advanced forms of cyber attacks.
The new product supports multiple international and national payment systems, simplifying product management for card developers and facilitating deployment in multiple regional markets around the world. Supported payment systems include Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, JCB and CUP international payment systems, as well as Brazilian Elo, Indian RuPay, Canadian Interac, Norwegian BankAxept, Australian eftpos Payments, Thai Bankers Association and national payment systems. When you need transportation applets together with banking applets, it is recommended to use MIFARE Classic®, MIFARE Plus®, MIFARE® DESFire® software library and Calypso®*.
STPay-Topaz products are divided into cut wafers and micro-modules. They are available in contactless and dual-interface configurations. They meet the requirements of multiple industry-standard inlays and antenna technologies and can be easily inserted into plastic cards. The STPay ecosystem includes tools, script examples. Local ST engineers provide support services in script development, functional verification and card personalization to help customers improve design flexibility and shorten application development cycles.
Samples of the first product in the STPay-Topaz family, STPay-Topaz-1, are now available. For pricing information and to request samples, please contact your local ST sales office. The above is the analysis of STMicroelectronics’ next-generation payment system chip, I hope it can be helpful to everyone.
