Shown is a counting frequency division circuit using C- MOS IC
. The main IC in the figure is TC4040, which is a 12-bit, 14-
bit counter. This circuit can be used to make a circuit with any frequency division ratio. For example, it can be made into a 1 /3600 frequency dividing circuit (a signal with a period of 1 second
can be turned into a pulse signal with a period of 1 hour).
