Voltage relay protection circuit for neutral point voltage phase loss
Source: InternetPublisher:笑流年 Updated: 2019/10/05
When any one of the three-phase power supply of the motor is powered off, if the motor is Y-connected, its neutral point (midpoint) voltage will increase significantly. Therefore, the midpoint voltage can be used as a signal for phase failure. The circuit shown in the figure uses a voltage relay as a protection device. When a phase is disconnected (such as the fuse FU1 is blown), the relay KV connected to the midpoint operates, cutting off the control loop of KM, and the motor M stops. This protection circuit is suitable for 0.6~55kW motors.
