It is well known that implementing simple functions in a bipolar signal environment can be difficult when using single-supply op amps. Sometimes additional operational amplifiers and other electronic components are needed. Thinking about it this way, are there any advantages to this model? The answer lies in this simple circuit (A). No diodes are required, this circuit is a high precision full wave rectifier with a high frequency limit equal to the op amp itself.
