The typical application circuit of the 5GM168 integrated circuit is shown in Figure 2-110. Rl0 is the voltage-reducing current-limiting resistor of the 5G
M168. R9 and C2 are the external resistance-capacitance components of the on-chip voltage-controlled oscillator. They determine the initial cycle rate of the four-way colored lights H1~H4
. After power on, Hl~H4 will light up in pairs as shown in Table 2-52.
The audio signal from the speaker of the radio or other audio equipment is added to the rectifier amplifier input terminal Vi of the integrated block, which is pin 8, through the capacitor C3, and is rectified and amplified. Then control the oscillation frequency of the voltage- controlled oscillator, so that the lantern cycle rate changes
with the intensity of the input audio signal.
