Working Principle and Application Circuit The chip is a 24-pin flat package and is usually
powered by 6 V or +12v. This application example is powered by +1ZV. Its principle block diagram is shown in Figure 3-38
. The application circuit diagram is shown in Figure 3 39.
    (¨Hall rotor position sensor: For three-phase full-wave commutation mode,
three Hall elements are usually required. This chip allows the use of only two Hall elements, but their
output must be approximately a sinusoidal transition. Figure In 3-39, pins 13 and 14 are left vacant
, and two Hall elements Hl and H2 are used. The Hall voltage is VH,, y.:,
the voltage y equivalent to the third Hall element can be generated internally... The principle is based on the following operation.
Therefore, the motor magnetic field is required to be an approximate sine wave and a linear output Hall element is used.
This chip is not suitable for motors whose air gap magnetic field is a trapezoidal wave distribution.
