Toshiba TLP3457 Review --- Power Consumption, On-Resistance [Copy link]

       I just received the sample from EEworld and I can't wait to open it. The packaging is very exquisite. I took out the sample and tested it without saying anything. I found that the current is about 2mA when connected with 5v. This calculation is a bit inconsistent with the power consumption of 0.5mW in the specification. Please give me some advice. Is there any other recommended current for LED? I tried 12V and the current reached 5mA. Will it affect the service life? Next, I tested the internal resistance of the LED in a 5v environment. Because I was short of money and didn't have any high-end equipment, I used an ordinary multimeter to test it. The test result was 0 ohm, which is consistent with the 50mΩ in the specification.

Step 1: Apply 5vDC to the coil end and observe that the current consumed by the power supply is 0.002A. It is found that the calculated power consumption is larger than the 0.5mW in the specification. Step 2: After the relay is energized, the contact resistance is measured by a multimeter and the result is 0, which is initially consistent with the 50 milliohms written in the specification.
