Does anyone know how to design the current limiting resistor on the primary side of the thyristor triggered transformer? [Copy link]

I want to add a current limiting resistor R to the primary side of the thyristor triggered transformer as shown in the figure below, but I don't know how to calculate the value of R. Can an expert give me some advice?

Why do you want to add such a current limiting resistor to the primary of the trigger transformer? What is the purpose of adding this resistor?

Prevent direct current from passing through the transformer coil when the primary circuit is damaged, protecting the transformer coil from being burned out.
