TAK's kit accelerates development of next-generation dye-sublimation printers [Copy link]

TAK Imaging has launched the SKRRPP-DS kit, which includes all the hardware and software needed to quickly develop the next generation of thermal sublimation printers. The core of the kit is the company's S1 SoC, which can process 4-Megapixel (MP) in 2.4s.

The product includes development tools for the ARM and VersaRISC controllers of the S1 chip, as well as imaging software and application software that support PCs, memory cards and PictBridge cameras.

In addition to compilers, connectors and debuggers, the SKRRPP-DS kit also includes a performance analyzer and emulator based on the DSP image processing engine. The emulator can adjust the DSP algorithm for optimal performance, while the imaging software designs different engines.

The biggest feature of this kit is that it can seamlessly connect all models of thermal sublimation engines, and includes charts, application records, design tips and exercises. The price of the product depends on the specific configuration of the S1 chip.
