Regulator tube usage help [Copy link]

As shown in the figure, for such a circuit, the voltage at the WAKE point is about 20V without a voltage regulator. Will the voltage at the WAKE point be 18V after adding a voltage regulator?

Because the current passing through the Zener diode in your circuit is less than Iz (7mA in the manual), the voltage across your Zener diode is lower than when the current is Iz.   Details Published on 2021-1-29 17:42

Or does it mean that the condition for the Zener diode to work is that the current of the Zener diode must be greater than or equal to the Iz in its data sheet in order to stabilize the voltage?

Iz has a maximum value and a minimum value. There is a Note 2 below. Check out its content. Another value that should be noted is Izk, which is the inflection point current or knee current. The working current of the Zener diode must be greater than this value. The minimum value of Iz must be greater than Izk. The current passing through the Zener diode must meet the minimum operating current to ensure the voltage regulation value, otherwise the error will increase.

The working current of the Zener diode must be greater than this value. The minimum value of Iz must be greater than Izk. If it is greater than Izk but less than the minimum value of Iz, the Zener diode can work, but the error is large. This can be seen from the volt-ampere characteristic diagram of the Zener diode.
