Analysis of Simple Circuits with Controlled Sources [Copy link]

A simple circuit with a controlled source refers to a circuit with a controlled source and an independent source. After the circuit equivalent transformation, it can be simplified to a circuit with only one loop or only one pair of nodes. It should be noted that during the entire transformation process, the branch where the control quantity is located cannot be changed, and the controlled source and the independent source are treated in the same way.

Example 2-5-1 For the circuit in Figure 2-5-1(a), calculate the sum of the powers generated by each power source?

Solution: Transform the circuit in Figure (a) into the circuit in Figure (b). According to the circuit in Figure (b), we have:

i 1 =[ 4 × (3+ i1 /2)]/(2+4)

Solved :i1= 3 A

And :u = 2 i1 = 2 × 3 = 6V

Going back to the circuit in Figure (a), we have: i 2 = i 1 -3=3-3=0

Therefore, the power generated by the independent current source and the controlled voltage source is: Ps1=3u = 3 × 6=18W

Ps2=2 i 1 i 2=0
