Both P89C51RC+ and P89C51RD+ are derivatives of the 8-bit 80C51 microcontroller. In addition to fully retaining the framework of the 80C51 instruction system and hardware structure, they have undergone many aspects of strengthening, expansion, renovation and innovation. It can be said that they have made full use of all aspects of the original structure. P89C51RD+ uses the original 16-bit addressing mechanism for external data and program memory, expands the on-chip RAM to 1K bytes, and expands the on-chip FLASH EPROM to 64K bytes, meeting the needs of today's embedded high-level languages for large on-chip memory capacity. Because of the use of FLASH memory, advanced technologies such as ISP (in-system programming) and even IAP (in-service programming) have become possible to realize.
